Camagüey

Here you can stay at the “Casa particular” of Reyes y Carolina. The treatment is very friendly and rooms are very clean. Located at Damas St. 221. The cost is €15 (20 CUP) Nice breakfast, but the best is the Carolina’s dinner!

Places to visit in Camaguey
-Playa Coco: Take a scooter to coco beach which is about a 10 minute ride on the Motor Scooter’s to your destination. The beach is empty!! You have to go through a bit of grass to get through but it’s a great place to see! The water is crystal blue! You want a lonely and quiet beach? Here you got!
-Señora de la Candelaria Chapel: Located at Agramonte Park, it’s a beautiful combination of religious architecture and splendid nature.
-Plaza del Carmen: The biggest park of Camaguey, nice place to drink some mojitos under a palm tree.
-General Ignacio Agramonte Museum: Used to be a Spanish military barracks, was turned to a museum in 1955. It keeps the most appreciated relics of the zone. It’s located at Mártires Avenue 2, between Rotario St. and Ignacio Sánchez St.
Cafe Ciudad: Nice café where you can get the speciality of Camaguey: Coffee with rum. Located at Jose Marti St. and Cisneros.
-Near Plaza del Carmen, are a lot of little stores were you can eat were you can eat the speciality: pork with “quimbombó” or “Chicharrones de pellejo”.
Doña Neli: Do you like sweet meals? Visit Doña Neli and you will find an excellent place to eat some bakery products! Located at Maceo St. betweem General Gómez St. and Estrada Palma St.
Nan King: Tired of Cuban food? Go to Nan King, a place were Cuban cultura fusion with Asia. Located at República St. 222
An indecent tip: A nice plan is to dedicate an entire night to walk around Camaguey; you can meet some drunken people that are travelling like you, really funny!
